Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone out there still reading blogs! Hard to believe that this blog has now been open for 2 years - they went by in the blink of an eye and so much has happened in those two years. From crazy summer schedules due to travel baseball games, to taking on a new opportunity this summer for work, there is a lot to be thankful for heading into 2025! Looking forward to a small break heading into the new year crunch of year-end.

Was a great morning spending time with my wife and two boys. Lots of Godzilla figures were opened, and several Sephora gift cards (teenagers are really into cologne these days!). Last night finished off a previous bottle of Angel’s Envy bourbon, and this morning received a nice new bottle to replace it! 

Also was fortunate to receive a hanger box of 2024 Topps Holiday. Was a little indifferent about it because I have traditionally not bought much of this in the past, but I do like the 2024 design so was glad to get this. Plus at 200 cards in the base set, is an achievable set to complete this year. I plan on making the short drive over to our local card shop and should be able to knock the rest of this set off over break.

Here are some of the highlights, including a really big relic card. Was able to get about half the Cubs Team set. I can’t remember reading somewhere about another blogger trying to complete this set if they got enough rookies in a box…trust me, you’ll get enough — as you can see here 27 rookies this box of 100, plus a lot of the big names!

Here is hoping everyone near and far is having a great Christmas break and looking forward to an exciting and happy 2025!
