Fall Break - LCS Visit and Family Time
Today was an amazing day spent hiking at a local state park here in Indiana called Turkey Run. It was a place we went to often for school field trips as it was a short drive from my hometown. Today I was able to go for a great hike with my youngest son as we are on Fall Break here in Indiana. This week is also the first full week of vacation for 2024 that I was able to take after starting my new job. It’s been pretty busy since starting in May and it was nice to shutoff the phone all day and enjoy a nice 3 mile hike in the woods. It was simply an awesome one-on-one time with my 10 year old hiking over 2 very rugged trails helping each other over tree limbs and through deep ravines. After several hours of hiking we had lunch at a small town cafe in Hillsboro, Indiana (pop. 502) and then visited the General Lew Wallace museum in Crawfordsville.
